Z-Com: Sample Websites and Client List
I handle every step of comprehensive website design, from initial marketing strategy to graphic design to back-end coding. In addition to producing HTML and CSS clean enough to eat off of, I work in PHP and MySQL, if you know what those are or even care — in non-nerdspeak, that means I create websites filled with dynamic content: catalogs, shopping carts, content management systems, discussion boards, and so on. I also create very attractive brochure-type sites with static content. My design priorities are:
- Websites that are easy to understand and navigate.
- Content and structure that addresses your fundamental marketing needs -- the site needs to tell your story in the clearest, most direct way possible.
- Back-end coding that is clean and correct, and thorougly tested on a variety of browsers and platforms.
- Clean, functional look and feel. Your company and message is the star of the show, not an overbuilt, complex site.
Here are some client websites I've created:
Dessaules Law Group: Very nice attorney website built for attorneys who wanted the easiest possible content management system. Blogging, easy updating, Drupal backend of course. Very custom template design
Be Outdoors Arizona: This site is quickly becoming a very large, very active social media site. BOA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to getting kids outdoors -- a cause we love here at Z-Com Creative. Google Map integration, full Drupal back end, forums, lots of account types and permission levels.
University Animal Hospital: Design, content management, marketing strategy. We recently rebuilt and redeployed this site, and it's earning major dividends for the client. Perhaps our most functional and effective site, working to both attract new clients and maintain existing clients.
Swing Real Estate: A Drupal-based site, with full-featured content management, blogging, and a terrific IDX (multiple listing service) feed framed in the site.
360 Teambuilding: A Drupal-based site. Art direction courtesy of BrainLab, one of our artist partners. Nice work, Lisa! Functionally the site is solid. It'll grow a lot over the next few months as we come up with cool new stuff to post up. I'm pretty excited about this one.
Society for Marketing Professional Services, Arizona Chapter: Really strong site designed for a major professional association. While we didn't have budget to do much with the art direction, it's a very functional, very effective site with a strong back end to run the whole thing. I look forward to applying better art to the existing plumbing, now that we have everything in place and working well.
Tri City East Veterinarian Hospital: Another vet! I'm getting really good at the vet sites and hope to get more of them lined up. Besides the usual CMS stuff, the whole site is built with an eye toward search engine visibility and client retention. TCEVH, going into their 20th year, has never had a website presence before. I'm very excited about getting these folks new business.
Corbins Electric: It took us forever but I'm very pleased with the final result. Big, sprawling site with lots of information.
Geotechnical and Environmental Consultants: Comprehensive rebuild featuring dynamic content management throughout, news feed, image management, the works.
Brignall Construction: Massive back-end upgrade, with some aesthetic changes up front. The site now features full content management services.
Team Red Energy: Site for an adventure racing team trying to gather sponsors and keep in touch with their fans. Just completed, now we're in the fine-tuning stages. This site brings together a lot of ideas at once: site management by the owner, an image gallery, and keyword-tagged news.
Gilbert Veterinary Hospital: Extensive content management solution. Surprisingly effective site given how simplistic it is.
Patrick Burt, Artisan Jeweler: Content management, catalog. Really pretty, classy site.
Pavement Marking, Inc.: Design, content management.
I also manage sites and patch up messes produced by other designers. Hey, it happens! If you have a site you need updated but aren't ready for a full rebuild, let me take a look at it and see what I can do.
